Below are the monthly photo competition results.
NAPfS hosts a monthly live critique photo competition. Each month club member submits up to two images. Prior to 2019, we only had two classes; however, beginning in 2019, photographers will compete in one of three classes, class 1 – novice or class 2 – intermediate or class 3 – expert.
The images are presented anonymously to the judge during the club meeting. Our guest speaker, or another qualified judge, critiques each image and then picks winners. Twenty-five percent of images entered win awards.
Photographers also earn points toward the year long Photographer of the Year competition. The photographer who receives the most total points over the course of the year is awarded the title of Photographer of the Year.
Any photo receiving an award is eligible for the People Choice Awards and Critic’s Choice Awards. At the photo club’s end of year meeting in December, members vote on their favorite images from monthly club competition, and an invited guest judge will select the Critic’s Choice.
To enter the monthly competition, join NAPfS and then visit the competition submission page to submit.
