Bri is the featured speaker at our “3rd Thursday” meeting on September 19. 2019.  Here is a preview of her presentation:

Nothing will increase the level of your work more quickly that competing in PPA (Professional Photographers of America) style print competition. This presentation will give you an introduction into the often confusing world of PPA print competition.  Topics she will cover are:

• How PPA image competition is structured at the local, state, and national levels
• The image scoring system and categories
• The 12 elements of a merit image
• What I’ve learned and how I’ve grown as a photographer through PPA image competition
• The benefits of PPA membership

About Bri Thatcher

• She is a Certified Professional Photographer.
• She graduated from the University of Texas with degree in Radio TV Film.
• She’s worked in video game production and video production.
• She’s been running her own studio since 2018.
• A true visual generalist – “I love to shoot everything!”
• She’s been on the board of Austin PPA since 2017.
• She has multiple awards at APPA local monthly and annual competitions.
• She was the 2018 PPA Bronze Medalist Photographer of the Year.
