“Abandonment Issues” – Mary Day Long
The club members have expressed a desire to have all their submitted photographs critiqued, so this meeting has no speaker in order to allow time for these critiques. In the past few meetings, only one photograph from each photographer was critiqued, but the judge will critique all photographs in this meeting, time permitting.
This is a free, public meeting so invite a buddy! but we encourage all to join the club if you regularly visit. Because then you get to enter our competitions and participate in other club activities!

September’s digital competition theme is “Seeing Double“. Only NAPfS members can submit up to two images of your choice, provided the images were taken no earlier than 2 years ago.
The club members have expressed a desire to have ALL their submitted photographs critiqued, so this meeting has no speaker in order to allow A FULL MEETING for these critiques. The Competition Committee will introduce a 3-member jury panel to critique and score the September submissions. Each month the jury will be recruited from the club’s most winning and experienced members. If this change proves popular, the upcoming 3rd Thursdays will have a guest speaker presentation and/or tutorials.

The monthly NAPƒS digital competition is meant to be fun, inspirational, and educational. The judging and associated critiques are positive, supportive, and will be a useful learning tool.
You must join NAPƒS to take part in 2019 competitions. The cost of membership is only $24, and your annual contribution is used 100% in support of club operations and activities.

2020 Officer Nominations
The North Austin Pƒotographic Society will be electing its 2020 Club Officers at an October or November meeting. Any 2019 club member in good standing may be nominated as an officer. To nominate yourself for a position, please email your contact info to web@nafps.club. The official description and duties for each officer can be found on the NAPƒS web site as part of the club bylaws. Positions open include:
