During the Meet & Greet, Ann Tarleton will exhibit a selection of her printed photographs. Once the meeting starts, Ann will speak for a few minutes about her work and answer any questions.
Monthly Competition
April’s competition theme is Spring Explosion and will be judged by Tani James, our May speaker.

Submissions are divided into two classes and each club member is free to choose which class to enter. For more info, read this post about classes.
The monthly NAPƒS competition is meant to be fun, inspirational, and educational. The judging and associated critiques are positive, supportive, and a useful learning tool.
A reminder – you must join NAPƒS to take part in 2017 competitions. The cost of membership is only $24 and your annual contribution is used 100% in support of club operations and activities.

Speaker – Tani James, President, NAPƒS
Tani James will give a presentation about the process of printing your photos – from pre to post to print. She’ll use colorful examples to encourage members to print their work and she’ll share her personal workflow in Photoshop to help you get started.
About Tani James
Tani James is a professional photographer, specializing in portraiture and weddings. Her images have a carefree, playful and spontaneous quality. Whether shooting in her home studio or on location, Tani creates an environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. She seeks out genuine moments, not staged performances. A photo shoot with Tani is pure fun, start to finish.
Tani has been in business since 2009. Tani started out her professional career as a Corporate Information Technology Project Manager, so she is familiar with gathering requirements, working with deadlines and keeping within budget constraints. During her tenure as an Operations Project Manager, she has honed her skills in problem solving which is key in helping her obtain results during her photography projects.
Tani is a 2013 graduate of the Art Institute of Austin where she expanded her knowledge of photography through classes in Lighting, Digital Retouching, advanced Photoshop and film photography. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas A&M Commerce.
