Meeting: Thursday, Jan 7th 2016

NAPfS’s January 2016 meeting will be held on January 7th, 2016 starting at 7PM. The club meets at Lone Oak Barn in Round Rock.

The meeting schedule is:

7:00PM – Meet and Greet
7:30PM – Monthly Competition
8:00PM – Member Presentation

If you can’t arrive at 7, don’t sweat it. The competition doesn’t start until 7:30PM and the speaker doesn’t start until 8:00PM.

Monthly Competition

This month’s competition is an open theme digital projection competition. Image submission will open on 12/29/2015 and close on 1/5/2016 at midnight. Geoffrey Hammond (our speaker) will be judging this months competition. A link will be shared to club members via the mailing list (see right sidebar to join) shortly before the window opens.

Thoughts on Composition

A photo is more than just the sum of the objects in your view finder. It is the perspective and interaction of those objects/subjects that makes an image strong. Learn how to strengthen your images through tried and true rules as well as the more fluid guidelines in this presentation.
